Our lids

T W E N T Y - S I X - L E T T E R S
Preserving the essence of 'us' amidst the inevitability of change and transformation.
For most of my life I've had short hair, with the few exceptions of when I got bored with it. So, when I came across this site, I couldn't resist (plus, it's a lot quicker and cheaper than the salon!). The six-pack above, showcases some of the transformations. Try it out:
Makeover — WOMEN
Makeover — MEN

We go through a lot of changes and styles over time, plus there are so many different influences on that. Friends. Celebrities. Good Style vs. Bad Style (uh-huh, by the way, please note, that's the same committee that introduced shoulder pads and perms).

But the things that are core to us in life, that make up who we are, have a deep-rooted continuity inside of us over time. A timeless quality to them, regardless of changes. I'll bet there's even a quality you had, or seed of something you loved as a kid that you still have a passion for. Costumes, hair and makeup, and props certainly have their role in this drama that we call life, just don't let them steal the show. Think about it. Does your hairstyle, outfit, or title describe you? Or can you deliver your lines without all of that?

It's our job to preserve the essence of 'us' amidst the inevitability of change and transformation.

  1. As Billy Joel says "don't go changing, to try and please me, I want you just the way you are"! I'm not sure I could envision you as a blonde or something like that - you are lovely just the way you are - fabulous!
