Well, how was January?

A - C R E A T I V E - S P A R K
What part of your idea did you take a chance on? What idea did you push out there just a little? What was your idea that you gave wings to? I did mine. A first for me. What was yours? Like I said, January has ended, I'll show you mine if you show me yours. What a good start to a great year. Welcome to February... we have nowhere to go but up.

  1. Wendy, I've been meaning to post to this entry - I have thought of this posted almost daily and I want to thank you for giving me that little push to say "I have begun modifying my diet in a large way". I have really stuck to it for the last week and its probably the longest I've been true too in a while. I had planned to do so January 1 - then the days passed, you then wrote your blog and it inspired me to just take a little step. I too a small step and it took flight. So hopefully, it will stick! Thanks for that little push of encouragement. Granted it wasn't an "idea" but it was something I havent tried in a really long time and this is the first time I've actually felt quite confident about it.

  2. Becky, that's awesome!! I'm so happy for you! It feels good, and empowering, when we take a first few steps. And even if you have an 'off' day... life IS hectic... be patient with yourself and just pick up again the next day.

As promised, you 'showed me' yours... so here's mine:
I've always enjoyed designing cards, gifts, etc and came up with a line of cards that I am not only pursuing (first with Woodside, then who knows how far it may reach...) but I have also officially trademarked the name. It's the first trademark I've ever done! I'm very excited about it's potential. I'll tell you more in person... and once it's up and running, I'll likely blog about it as well.

    Keep up the good work!

  3. That is awesome Wendy. Your talent is abundant and overflowing! I just saw your email this morning (Monday) but its making me think of yesterdays sermon about choices. Which path to take? The beauty is even if you take a path, you can keep taking various paths and not always stuck on just one! I saw you yesterday and had wanted to chat for a moment but you were kinda in the back of the crowd and I was in the front, after waiting a while, the boys were getting impatient so we left. I wanted to find out how your beautiful niece was doing and your sister! I'm sure this was a wonderful time of sisterhood! Well, we're off to the Lincoln Memorial today. We always try to do something President related - last year it was Mt. Vernon, which the totally loved. Connor requested the Memorial this year. They love going to the memorials downtown. Back in the fall we went to the top of the Washington Monument. I love seeing the boys excited about history and all that it means. We'll make a stop at the Vietnam too, my uncle's name is on that one. I've never taken them to that one so it will be interesting to see their take on it. They do know my uncle was killed in war. Anyway, hope all is well!
