"Quilt of YOUR Quotes"

A - C R E A T I V E - S P A R K
SUPER-QUICK TIME FRAME!
I wanted to do something a little unique to take with me on Tuesday,
maybe get on CNN? So if you cannot come to the Inauguration, I'll take your messages with me!

I am currently creating a "Quilt of YOUR Quotes" for INAUGURATION DAY. If you can send me your VERY BRIEF wish/thought/message for that day, include your name/state if you like. I'll design them in red, white, and blue, then pin them ALL to a blanket I'm taking down with me.

These are three actual emails I've already received/designed today, please send YOUR message to me BY SUNDAY/MONDAY to be included on the blanket. Also, please keep us in your thoughts on Monday. And stay tuned... you might see YOUR message!!

You can either email me or post a comment below.

1/18 Noon — here's an update:

  2. Wendy, what an awesome idea! I love it - that's the amazing creativity in you. If you go to my blog www.elviscorgisme.blogspot.com you will see an entry on Austin's school and how he got to take part in something special for the President.

  6. Obama and family - welcome to the White House! Please consider converting the White House lawn and grounds to all organic cultivation. While you're at it, add an edible garden for your girls to grow and learn from. Looking forward to your being our "First Gardeners in Chief" :-).

  7. Sue, Kathy, THANK YOU. Just returned from the Lincoln Memorial --------- AMAZING. The performances, Obama, but MOST impressive to me? The masses of people. Looking at eachother. Smiling. Chatting. Sharing stories. Complete strangers.

Anyone going down: have your Metro ticket, have cash (small bills), LOTS of water, and in the moment of what you are watching unfold on Tuesday.... just stop. Stop. Listen. Look around you. This is a blessing to be a part of this amazing event.

    Okay, gotta run!!!!! : )

  8. Wendy, the boys were thrilled to see their words you created! Honestly, I think that you should put all these together and send to President Obama as part of a tribute. Maybe he will never see it but its worth a try. Also, you should send a copy of them along with your pictures to Bishop STith (re: my email to you). The signs are fabulous!
